No account credential is required. Send the non-secret X-Tavily-Access-Mode header with value keyless to select this mode.

Account usage consumes credits; paid monthly plans and pay-as-you-go are available.
Free access: Accounts receive 1,000 free credits per month without a card. Keyless search/extract have a separate free allowance.
- Development keys: 100 requests per minute. Production keys: 1,000, requiring a paid plan or enabled pay-as-you-go; other endpoints can differ.
- The reviewed keyless guide does not publish a numeric quota.
What still needs checking
- OAuth is another documented remote MCP mode and requires a compatible client to authorize the Tavily account.
- Keyless REST also exists for search and extract; the REST option above intentionally describes account-key usage.
- Documentation was reviewed; no sign-in, connection or tool execution was performed.
